Monserrat 2

Up, up, winding around and around!

Montserrat 1

On the way to Montserrat. We really did not know what we were in for. We rode about an hour and a half and started to climb upward.

Downtown Barcelona 16

The columns change color at different times of the day. The 2nd picture is another awesome tile floor.

Downtown Barcelona 15

The tile is really sweet. We checked out another entrance to the Cathedral.

More inside the Cathedral.

Downtown Barcelona 13

We are finally inside the Cathedral. We went upstairs in the cathedral; there were 52 columns becoming trees for the ceiling. Gaudi is the designer of this cathedral. Beautiful stained glass windows project color on the columns at certain times a day. The capacity for this church is for 8,000 people. The highest column will be 172 meters high. St. George is at the entrance.

Downtown Barcelona 12

More from the outside of the Cathedral.
